About
Cindy Miracle is a painter and printmaker based in Northern California. Her layered monoprints explore the intersection of nature and abstraction — translating light, rhythm, and atmosphere into visual form. Working from her studio at the historic ICB in Sausalito, she builds her images through a meditative process of layering, erasing, and re-discovering, allowing each piece to echo the shifting landscapes that inspire her.
Originally from Cleveland and raised in Los Angeles, Miracle earned her B.F.A. from Cal State Fullerton and her M.F.A. from Claremont Graduate University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian and recent exhibitions in Italy and Japan.

Recently six of my monoprints were included in an exhibition in Florence, Italy, and earlier two of my monoprints were included in the Awagami exhibition in Japan. I also visited this amazing country for the first time!
JAPAN: It was my last day in Japan and It was pouring down rain. I had extended my stay in Kyoto and wanted to visit a particular shrine, Fushimi Inari Shrine (Fushimi Inari Taisha), which is famous for its more than 10,000 closely-spaced orange torii gates that wind over the hills of Mt. Inari. I think I was fortunate that it was pouring down rain as it made it less crowded than normal, and it was actually quite magical walking it the rain!
ITALY: I have been so fortunate to travel to Florence, Italy and work with Ron Pokrasso in his “Master Class” at SRISA (Santa Reparata International School of Art) a number of times. Printmaking is such a social art form, and sharing this wonderful studio with friends from around the world has been a very special experience. Florence is so full of beautiful works of art one cannot help but feel inspired in this magical city.
